Welcome to the web site of the American Association of Exorcists (AAE). The AAE was founded January 1, 2003 by Bill Jordan, R.N., Ph.D., D.Apol.

Our Mission.
The AAE was founded to provide an organization to represent those Americans engaged in the ministry of exorcism/deliverance.  The AAE is a Bible-based Christian organization with a four-fold ministerial outreach:
1.)  To provide fellowship between exorcism/deliverance ministers and specialists.
2.)  To assist those who are truly possessed and in need of the services of an exorcist.
3.)  To provide certification training for Christians desiring a career in exorcism/deliverance.
4.)  To serve as a central processing center and referrral agency for those people in need of exorcism or deliverance services.  When a request for exorcism or deliverance is received by the AAE, the AAE member exorcist in that region of the U.S. is notified and put into contact with the requesting party.

Becoming a Member.
Anyone can be a member of the American Association of Exorcists.  There are two memberships in the AAE:
Active Membership in the AAE is open to all exorcism/deliverance ministers and specialists.  Annual dues are $5.00 in U.S. currency.
Supportive Membership in the AAE is available to those interested parties not actively involved in exorcism and deliverance practice.   Annual dues are $5.00 in U.S. currency.
Members residing outside the U.S., please add $5.00 U.S. currency to annual dues above.

Certificates.
All active and supportive members receive a certificate identifying them as AAE members in good standing.

Exorcism/Deliverance Certification Program.
This program trains and certifies the Christian in exorcism-deliverance so that he/she may embark on a career in exorcism-deliverance.  This program consists of 19 courses.  Most courses have audio cassette tapes which are included in the tuition price.  Paperback textbooks may be purchased from the local Christian bookstore, amazon.com, or barnesandnoble.com.  Each course has an open-book, multiple choice test which must be passed with an 85% score.  Should the student not receive an 85% score, he/she can retake the test.  The student will need to have internet access as pertinent internet articles are used in the courses.  Upon completion of all courses, the Christian student will receive certification as an Exorcism/Deliverance Minister.*  [*Note: An Exorcism/Deliverance Minister is not an Ordained or Licensed Minister and cannot preach, perform baptisms, funerals or weddings.  Those desiring to become Ordained Ministers should contact Jordan Christian Ministries at PreacherNurse@aol.com for further information.  Students must take the "Introduction to the Exorcim Ministry" course first but after that, they may take courses in any order they wish.
The following courses comprise the Exorcism/Deliverance Certification Program [unless designated otherwise, the cost of each course is $20.00 in U.S. funds, made out to "Jordan Christian Ministries"]:
1.)  Introduction to the Exorcism/Deliverance Ministry.
       2.)  Biblical Demonology.
3.)  Introduction to Demonic Possession and Exorcism.

Requirements For Admission into the Certification Program.
Exorcism/Deliverance is a serious field of expertise.  It is truly "Big-League."  Since it brings the exorcist into direct contact with demonic forces, a non-Christian performing exorcisms leaves himself open to demonic attacks and even demonic possession [refer to the "sons of Sceva," Acts 19:14-16].  Because of this, in good conscience, the AAE cannot accept enrollment of non-Christians into the Certification Program.  All applicants will need to fill out a questionnaire/application [which can be printed out from this web site and mailed to the AAE].  Upon successful completion of the program, the student will receive Ministerial Ordination as an Exorcism-Deliverance Minister (he/she cannot perform baptisms or weddings).

Qualities of an Exorcist.
The Exorcism/Deliverance Minister needs to have the qualities of committment, compassion, love, determination, and perseverance.  He must definitely believe that he/she has a calling from God for this form of ministry.  This is a ministry of service to those in need.  It is not an occupation that one should consider if he is interested in material gain.  In other words, if a person is looking for an occupation that will secure a great deal of money and this is his chief goal in life, he should not choose this form of ministry.  Likewise, if one is considering this form of ministry because he/she thinks it "would be neat to be able to contact and talk with demons," he/she should definitely NOT choose this form of ministry.  The last thing that demons want to do is havev a fireside chat or make friends with people.  Because humans are God's greatest love, demons regard all humans with complete, utter hatred and contempt.
The Christian exorcist also needs to be trained.  The wiles of the Devil are many.  He is very intelligent.  The Christian exorcist needs to know the tactics and tricks that demons often use during exorcism efforts.  The purpose of the Certification Program offered by the AAE is to provide such training.
There is an increasing need for Christian exorcists.  Because the occult and drug use [the top two causes of demonic possession] are becoming widely accepted in today's society, demonic possession is becoming more prevalent.  The Catholic Church in recent years has realized the increasing problem of demonic possession and has responded by making it easier for priests to be able to secure authorization to perform exorcisms.  The number of trained Christian exorcists is currently not enough and will not be enough well into the projected future.
